The burial happened days after the national Funeral Service happened in Dar El Salaam.

During the event,Brigadier General of JWTZ also witnessed the coffin containing the body of the Retired President of the Third Term Benjamin Benjamin Mkapa being unloaded at Lupaso Masasi Cemetery in Mtwara Region.
